Eijaz Khan's Journey from Dance to Stardom
Eijaz Khan's career began as a dancer with Ganesh Hedge’s troupe, and he has since evolved into a beloved figure in the television industry during its golden era. Initially recognized for his role in Balaji Telefilm’s Kkusum, he later captured audiences' hearts with his performances in the OTT series, City of Dreams, and the Adrishyam series. His role as Manish Gaikwad in the blockbuster film Jawan also left a significant mark.
Reflecting on his journey, Eijaz expresses gratitude for his success, stating, "I hit the jackpot by growing up in Mumbai and was fortunate to be appreciated for my looks in the glamour industry. However, my achievements are the result of hard work!"
Eijaz believes he was meant to portray Ravi Verma in Adrishyam Season 2. He shares, "From my school days watching Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, I have always been a fan of spy films. I feel like my entire life has been a preparation for this role. I could have been a great spy; I just spent too much time studying engineering," he jokes.
As he steps back into his role for Season 2, he comments, "The tagline of our show is 'The Invisible Heroes.' It reflects not only our hidden lives but also the complexities of my character's relationship with his wife. It's been quite a journey."
Eijaz is excited about his upcoming film, 120 Bahadur, which focuses on the Battle of Rezang La during the Indo-China war, showcasing the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers. "You will be amazed by what we have accomplished in this film," he asserts confidently.
Open about his personal and professional life, Eijaz has previously discussed the challenges of being raised by a single father. When asked for advice for single parents and their children, he thoughtfully responds, "It's hard to generalize, but to parents, know that you are seen and loved. Even if your children don't understand you now, patience is key; they will come to appreciate you in time."
To children in single-parent households, he advises, "Stay strong and don't harm yourself. You are unique and capable of overcoming this situation, which can lead to personal growth that might not have been possible otherwise. I understand the challenges, but you have the power to navigate your circumstances effectively!"
Despite the ups and downs in his life, Eijaz feels thankful. "I am blessed with love and support from people worldwide, which is a fortune I cherish. My goal is to improve every day for my audience."
On his wish list is a role in a Punjabi film. Although he declined an offer to judge a Mr. Punjab show, he expresses his desire to act in a Punjabi movie. "I would love to be part of a Punjabi film. Someone, please offer me a role!" he exclaims, also looking forward to enjoying Punjabi cuisine and hospitality.
